CONVERSATION DE TRAIN

A new video piece "CONVERSATION DE TRAIN" is available.

About CONVERSATION DE TRAIN :

Conversation de train is a transcendent affair of the heart between two young souls, a boy and a girl on the verge of falling in love, on a Paris train to Camargues, a place far removed from the confines of propriety. Their idyllic perambulation will last for five days, the shared experience unfolding outside the confines of measured time.  The camera, their dutiful witness, suggests that tension will soon give way to unbridled passion in a house surrounded by wild horses.

The journey is long; the train cuts through a wintry landscape of black and white that will soon morph into spring. Various images emerge like the red lines and the electric wires, the links between the boy and girl. Other forms like the bare brush hint at the unspoken dangers of desire.  A certain phrase, "the color of carnation", repeats carrying with it an invitation to love, a suspension of reason, the promise and dread of forever falling.

The vertigo of the heart creates a strange chasm within our young lovers:  a gulf where unsynthesized shapes and colors exist. At this place, together, they will fall in love and shape a piece of their future...
